fundamental friday: God & The Impossible

Happy Friday! Hope you had a productive, good-food type of week. We are in the second week of fundamental fridays and, simply put, I am just excited and thankful to be able to write and articulate my (many) feelings.

So, for the second fundamental I want to write about my Faith. I just feel it in my heart right now to write about my God (The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) & The Impossible.

I have been reading and watching the news about what’s going on in Thailand and I feel it so deep in my heart to write about my God and the Impossible.

In case you have not been in the news, I want to quickly make you aware of what’s occurring in Thailand… A boys soccer team and their coach are trapped in a flooded cave during monsoon season. The boys are aged 11 to 16 and their coach is 25.

They have been trapped for going on almost two weeks now (about 13 days as of today). To put this in perspective for you, it takes about 5 to 5 and a half hours for experienced divers to reach the soccer team and another 6 to 6 and half hours to make it back to the entrance of the cave. We’re talking tight spaces, murky water, changing depths in the water, and fluctuating oxygen levels, to name a few.

The majority of the team cannot swim… And the rescue team just faced their first casualty.

My heart aches for these boys, the divers, the rescuers, and their families. The odds are stacked against them: inexperienced swimmers potentially facing an experienced diver’s toughest dive, oxygen levels are lowering fast, the clock is ticking too fast…

This definitely is the impossible.

I can just hear Tasha Cobb’s Your Spirit playing in my mind. It’s situations like these, where all potential rescues are treacherous, that praying to God is the only option. This is one of my fundamentals because I truly believe in the power of prayer.

God is Listening to Your Payers

I believe in the power of prayer because God continues to prove Himself to me, even though He does not have to!

My prayers have been answered, although I may not like the outcome, God never makes a mistake. (I’ll tell you about my Final Four soccer game of my senior year soon!)

He is always intentional, purposeful.

My God is alive and He is the only one able, capable, and willing to turn the impossible into the possible!

So, as you go through your day, and until the soccer team is rescued, please say a quick, powerful, confident prayer to God. We need His Spirit covering the boys, the divers, the families, the government officials; everyone in Thailand.

(If you would like more information/want to stay up to date, click here for the most recent article. )

Also, say a prayer for you, or someone you know, asking that God touches whatever seems impossible in your/their life right now.

I just want to leave you with a few scriptures on God & The Impossible:

1 John 5:14 -15 ~ This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Jeremiah 29:12 ~ Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Thank you again for joining me on another fundamental friday. As always, I hope I have written something that you can use now or can pocket for later. Go Be Great Today!
Keep Glowing,
Adoris
